Dealing with Negative Emotions

Afflictive emotions which destroy our inner peace and their corresponding antidotes:

Anger-Tolerance
Pride/Ego-Humility
Jealousy – Compassion
Hatred – Love
Attachment –Impermanence
Impatience – Patience
Dissatisfaction – Satisfaction
Ignorance – Wisdom

Meditate on these, because if the mind is at peace the body will be more healthy. The mind controls body and speech. If the mind is positive the body and speech will be positive. We have wisdom.
Developing tolerance:
When you feel anger, immediately think about that you are not angry with that person.
Meditate: "Today I will be tolerant, and I will love them as much as I can".
Think about where most of the suffering comes from – the main cause is anger.
If someone makes you angry, think that you have a great opportunity to practice tolerance with them.
Appreciate yourself!
Have confidence in your practice of meditation which reduces distraction and deepens it.
Chant: “benefit from tolerance, harm from anger”. Do this three times per day. Direct the focus on the mind instead of the body. Use mantras to calm the mind.
